Man killed by cement truck crossing Northern Blvd

A 60-year-old man was struck and killed by a cement truck while crossing Northern Boulevard this afternoon, according to police.

The man was walking south across the boulevard at 34th Street when the truck, which was heading west, struck him at 12:22 p.m., according to police.

The man was rushed to Mount Sinai Queens, where he died.

The driver remained on the scene.
