Man Robbed at Knifepoint at Steinway Street Subway Station Monday

The police are looking for three suspects who robbed a man at knife point at the Steinway Street/ 34th Avenue subway station on Monday.

The suspects allegedly approached a 39-year-old straphanger on the mezzanine level at the station at around 10:10 a.m. before pushing him against a wall and punching him in the mouth. They then displayed a knife and took his wallet containing credit cards and about $40.

The victim sustained bruising and swelling to his face but did not seek medical attention at the scene.

The three men are described by police as being between 18 and 20 years of age with a dark skin complexion. Police released video footage and photos of the suspects fleeing the station.

Ever since they removed the token booth that entrance/exit is very sketchy. Essentially a free pass for farebeaters and flophouse for the homeless.

Nothing new here. The police are looking to catch them so the D.A. with dark complexion can reduce “armed robbery” charges to “littering” and a judge with light complexion set these animals free because these creatures’ mamas say how good these kids are and everybody in the community love these kids.
P.S.: Subways should be knife free zones. Knife ownership should be strictly regulated. Anybody who applies for knife ownership permit should have mandatory 72 hours training in a professional kitchen, provide 3 references, social media usernames, pass an psychological exam.

Three homeless men were arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Tuesday and variously charged with felony robbery, attempted gang assault, and assault for allegedly stealing the belongings of a 69-year-old homeless man who was asleep on a Manhattan-bound 7 train in Woodside early Sunday morning.

The victim woke up and tried to regain his property. During the ensuing brawl, the victim fatally stabbed a 37-year-old assailant and slashed a second man. The victim has not been charged in the fatal stabbing. The investigation by the NYPD’s Queens Homicide Squad and members of the 108th Precinct in Long Island City remains ongoing.
