Police are looking for a man who allegedly groped a woman on a moving MTA bus last month while it was traveling in the East Elmhurst/Jackson Heights area.

The suspect allegedly approached a 25-year-old female passenger from behind—while they were both standing—and made sexual contact with her at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 22. The police did not provide any further details, although did say that the woman was not injured.

The suspect, described as a man in his late 20s, exited the bus at 23 Avenue and 82 Street in East Elmhurst after making the unwanted sexual advance.

The alleged pervert is described as being about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. Police say he has a light complexion, with short black hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and black sneakers.

Anyone with information in regard to the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
