Police officers found the body of a man floating in the East River off Astoria Park Saturday.

Officers were called to the waterfront just after 3 p.m. when a 911-caller spotted the body floating in the water near Ditmars Boulevard and Shore Boulevard by the Hell Gate Bridge, according to the police.

EMS responded and pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene.

The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.

A police spokesperson was unable to say if the man’s death is being considered suspicious.

It’s not the first time a body was spotted floating off the coast of Astoria this year.

Another man’s body was found in the East River in January. The body was wrapped in trash bags and is being investigated as a homicide.
