A new Mexican bar and restaurant opened in Astoria Thursday and is offering a free taco and cocktail to patrons to celebrate its grand opening.

Tacostoria, located at 36-05 30th Ave., is awarding customers one free taco and their choice of a free glass of sangria or a boozy smoothie until Tuesday, Dec. 8.

The eatery serves fusion-inspired tacos, blended burritos, specialty appetizers, custom-made frozen drinks, flavored sangrias and a large selection of craft cocktails.

The menu utilizes fresh ingredients and homegrown recipes — which include vegan tortillas that are made by hand each day.

The people behind Tacostoria ran a summer pop-up shop called Slush which featured alcoholic slushies and frozen drinks made from fresh fruit purees. The popular frozen drinks will be on Tacostoria’s permanent menu as well.

The restaurant and bar is open from noon to 10 p.m. seven days a week and also offers brunch on the weekends.

I went to get my free taco and sangria and the guy tells me I have to place an order first before I get the free promo. Nowhere does it say this on their flyer or advertisement… bait and switch pretty much
