Police are searching for a man who stole thousands of dollars worth of cosmetics from an Astoria drug store earlier this month.
The suspect entered Rite Aid, located at 32-87 Steinway St., on Oct. 10 at around 9:50 a.m. and allegedly swiped around $4,000 worth of cosmetics from the store, according to police.
He then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
Police describe the assailant as a bald male with a medium complexion. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 180 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a “NASA” logo on the front, black sneakers and multi-colored pants.
Police released images of the suspect taken from inside the location.

That’s a LOT of makeup. He could look like anybody now. Good luck finding him!
Not ususual, same story repeated every single day. If caught he’ll be on the before you get to the head of the line to cast your early vote. We now have a shit h*le city, don’t kid yourself, thousand of people, families leaving NYC every year, they won’t return, the politicians, Mayor, city council, Cuomo, the state politicians who passed bail reform and tied the hands of the courts & judges. We are so SCREWED!!!
The real story is who he boosts this with, that’s where the deals are.
I know it’s not politically correct!!!??? But these photos aren’t exactly clear!!! If you guys would list the race &/ ethnicity of the subject you may have better results!!!
Check the shelters.
Was there no security
Why do the authorities or media not offer additional information regarding the color of the individual is they’re indeed black or hispanic? They use ‘light skinned’, which pretty much describes everyone. Light skinned and what??!
Can we not use the words ‘light/dark skinned black’ or ‘light/dark skinned hispanic? ‘
I guess this is the America we live in today. It’s not racist to describe the actual skin color of any suspect. Knowing if a suspect is either a dark or light skinned individual would be more helpful. There are definitely racist people in this world, which I think is disgusting. But geeeez! A more clear description would be much better. A description of a light skinned individual could be anyone. It’s nonsense.
You gotta be joking…..$4000 of cosmetics & nobody realized anything !?? If there was security ….he /she needs to get fired !!! 8f not, the staff needs to WAKE THE HELL UP !!
I have a Walgreens near me and most everything is locked on the shelves because people were stealing even things like moisturizer! This store has been there for over 40 years and the last 2 years have had more thefts but nothing is being done.
