The popular Mexican food chain, Chipotle, is opening three new locations in Queens by the end of the year.

Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to open a restaurant in Elmhurst later this month, having already just opened one in the neighborhood.

The chain will also open restaurants in Astoria and North Corona before the end of the year.

The Chipotle restaurant that is opening in Elmhurst will be located at 88-01 Queen Blvd. and is scheduled to open at the end of October. Another Chipotle recently opened in the area at 40-37 82nd St.

The Astoria location will be at 22-06 31st St. and the North Corona restaurant will be located at 37-47 Junction Blvd.

There are currently 10 Chipotle locations across Queens. The new restaurants will bring the borough total to 13.

The new Chipotle restaurants will serve customers via takeout, mobile pick-up and contactless delivery to ensure the safety of patrons and employees amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Each location will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

With so many AUTHENTIC Mexican and Latin restaurants in Astoria, why do we need a big chain like Chipotle? Oh, I forgot. The hipsters looooove to pay 4 times the price for fake mexican food instead of supporting the hard working small latino restaurants in Astoria.

How they expect to serve the latino community with French size portions?
And another thing – who told these people that latinos eat beans just the beans itself? Can’t believe they never heard about “put more water in the beans”. The 2 microscope spoon – actually fork – of beans they serve, is dry as a rock. They are getting worst of the portion size and I really doubt they are concerned with our belly size

A Brooklyn man was indicted by a Queens grand jury on charges of manslaughter, drunk driving and other crimes for a fatal collision in Astoria that killed his long-time girlfriend and mother of their young child in February.

Ray Perez, 27, of Caton Avenue in Flatbush, was arraigned Thursday in Queens Supreme Court on a 13-count indictment charging him with vehicular manslaughter for allegedly speeding through a stop sign in Astoria, colliding with another vehicle and slamming into two parked cars, and then driving nearly four miles away to a street in Maspeth before seeking help for his 29-year-old girlfriend Bridget Enriquez, who later succumbed to her injuries.
