Man Found Dead Aboard N Train in Astoria Thursday Morning

A man was found dead on the floor of a subway car at the Ditmars Boulevard subway station this morning, according to police.

The man was reported unconscious by a N-train rider at around 4:25 a.m., police said.

Police said they found a fully clothed 62-year-old man lying on the floor of the train. He was unconscious and unresponsive, police said.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.
