Queens Incubator to Deliver Fresh Food to Astoria/LIC Residents

A Long Island City food-and-business incubator has announced a delivery service to help residents get fresh and packaged products during the state shutdown.

The Entrepreneur Space, which helps start-up eateries grow their business, will deliver freshly prepared meals from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays starting Wednesday, March 25. The E-Space will deliver within a half-mile radius from its 36-46 37th St base—with the aim of expanding its service area in coming weeks.

The E-Space is a 12,500-sq.-ft. venue with a fully equipped commercial kitchen and clients that make everything from three-course meals to unique desserts

Residents are advised to go to each establishment’s website and fill out an order. The items will then be delivered. A number of businesses are expected to join soon.

Businesses include:

Cooking with Corey  : Customized meals such as Teriyaki Shrimp and Pulled BBQ Chicken with Sweet Potato and Zucchini.

Daily Spoon/Destination Dumplings : Unique, handmade dumplings in various flavors that sell at such venues as Smorgasburg and Citi Field.

Ipsa Provisions : Dishes such as Chicken Tortilla Soup, Lasagna Bianca, and Yellow Mole with Chorizo Meatballs.

There will also be packaged products available for Delivery via USPS and FedEx to all areas:

Broma : Chocolate spread that is gluten free, non-GMO, and preservative-free, and contains no refined sugars.

Lucina’s Gourmet : West Indian style spicy black bean patties, rum cake, coco bread, and jerk seasoning.

Milene Jardine : High quality, artisanal chocolates.

A Brooklyn man was indicted by a Queens grand jury on charges of manslaughter, drunk driving and other crimes for a fatal collision in Astoria that killed his long-time girlfriend and mother of their young child in February.

Ray Perez, 27, of Caton Avenue in Flatbush, was arraigned Thursday in Queens Supreme Court on a 13-count indictment charging him with vehicular manslaughter for allegedly speeding through a stop sign in Astoria, colliding with another vehicle and slamming into two parked cars, and then driving nearly four miles away to a street in Maspeth before seeking help for his 29-year-old girlfriend Bridget Enriquez, who later succumbed to her injuries.
