Where is the coverage about the drive by shooting that happened on Steinway street last week?? Is that bad publicity for the neighborhood?

Please raise my rent again to live in this shithole. I can’t imagine not paying 3k for a dump apt in the hood. I mean it’s beautiful. I can’t park for the love of God. I’m lucky to meet someone who speaks English, I get harassed on the NYC subway and Ubers double park all over picking their noses and hacking snot balls near foodstands. Please raise my rent.. I’m only 5 blocks from the projects in my 3k apt!! Life is wonderful

Imagine being this fragile!

Oh no, someone spoke another language! Damn that diversity. You should move to a Republican paradise like Alabama. They have teenage pregnancy instead of diversity.

I guess you're from the Mid-West

You might find this hard to believe but, Astoria was once right leaning. It’s going down the drain fast. The illegals can have it.

I agree, the Trump lovers are really fragile

Something like being offended by hearing Spanish is the kind of thing we’d expect from the right, like the people that lived in Astoria. Thanks for agreeing with me.

I’m a registered Independent, not a Trump lover. Making a point of how life was better in Astoria years ago.How would you know what Astoria was like if you were living somewhere else?My comment has nothing to do with my politics, just stating facts.

Anyone who says Astoria hasn’t changed for the worst is either deceiving themselves or ignorant to the reality that has taken place the past 3 to 5 years.

Criminals are more brazen thanks to the new criminal reform laws. NYC is slowly but surely turning back to the grimy 70’s and 80’s

Op-Ed | Hochul: Action is Imperative on Shoplifting, but Violent Crime is Just Fine

Apr. 29, 2024 By Council Member James F. Gennaro

Negotiations regarding the New York State budget have just concluded a few days ago and a budget has passed after more than two weeks of delays. But while Gov. Kathy Hochul has proclaimed this year’s ‘bold agenda’ aims to make New York ‘safer,’ there hasn’t been so much as a whisper about the safety issue New Yorkers actually care about – New York States’s dangerous bail reform laws and the State’s absence of a ‘dangerousness standard,’ which would allow judges to detain without bail those defendants that pose a present a clear and present danger to our communities. (The 49 other states and the federal government have a dangerousness standard. NY State is the only state that lacks this essential protection from the State’s most dangerous offenders.)
