Suspect (NYPD) and Grill Chill Lounge at 42-12 Broadway (Google Maps)

July 15, 2019 By Christian Murray

An irate man punched a waitress in the face –knocking out two of her teeth– after being told that the Astoria restaurant where she worked had closed, according to police.

The suspect tried to enter Oven Grill Chill Lounge, located at 42-12 Broadway, at around 4: 15 a.m. on Friday, July 5, but was told by the 23-year-old waitress that the establishment had closed.

The suspect then argued with the victim and then punched her in the face, causing her to lose two teeth.

Police have released a photo of the suspect.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Just shows everyone the type of trouble people are facing in Astoria. There are so many lowlifes walking around. Not all crime is being reported, many crimes are dismissed by the police when they are called and not every crime or assault can make the local news like two did this week. Hopefully, Caban who lives in Astoria can make things better. We are so proud.

Caban make things better? Sounds to me like she is trying to put people like this loser back on the street. What effect do you think closing Rikers will have…where will the suspects be held if there is no jail to house them… it’s called Released on Recognizance – or back on the street.

Yes… she will probably attempt to have the waitress arrested for the injuries this gentleman sustained to his hand.

Do all of these low lifes who are punching people in the teeth lately work or dentists? Not joking, just wondering. Too bad this city doesn’t have a curfew because nothing good happens after midnight.

Men don’t hit women. As far as he is concerned I hope that somebody runs him over. Just one more loser that needs to get the crap kicked out of himself.

Had she protected herself by carrying a handgun concealed and legally this scumbag could have been terminated on the spot.
