Police are looking for two men who broke into three homes in Astoria and stole approximately $77,000 worth of jewelry in a burglary spree earlier this month.

According to police, the burglaries took place all in one day–Feb. 8–from 7:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. in homes near 49th Street and 31st Avenue.

The two men broke into each of the homes by climbing the back stairs and forcing their way through the rear door after breaking a window, police said.

The individuals left without stealing any property from the first two targeted homes, but stole around $77,000 in jewelry from the third home they hit.

There were no reported injuries, police said.

The suspects are both described as light-skinned and approximately 30 years old. One of the suspects is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weights about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark jeans, white sneakers, and a hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and white sneakers.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
