Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob Astoria’s Sterling National Bank on Christmas Eve.
Police say the man entered the 37-16 30th Ave. location at 12:40 p.m. on Dec. 24, and passed a note to the bank teller demanding money.
The would-be robber, however, fled after the teller refused his demands, and was last seen heading eastbound on 30th Avenue.
The suspect is described as Hispanic, between 20 to 30 years old, around 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches in height, and with a slim build.
He was last seen wearing an orange jacket, a black hooded sweater, black sweatpants, red sneakers and he carried a black backpack.
Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Robber: give me all your money
Teller: no
Robber: well…shit
The 114 was too busy giving tickets to bicyclists riding without reflectors on their bikes or for noise pollution because they put baseball cards in their spokes !!
This happened on Dec 24th. Why is the 114th always so slow in releasing information?
because they are trying to get enough information on this person and security tapes –
