Astoria Market

Nov. 30, 2018 By Meghan Sackman

Dozens of local artisans will be selling unique holiday gifts at a market held in Astoria starting on Sunday.

The Astoria Market will take place for the next three Sundays at the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden and will feature 40 local vendors selling items as such as accessories, art, baked goods, clothing, toys, jewelry and other gifts.

The event will run from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 2, Dec. 9, and Dec. 16.

Diane Modric, a local jewelry maker who founded the market in 2010, is organizing the event again this year.

Some of the better-known vendors who will be coming back again this year include: Strung Out Jewelry, a hand crafted wellness jewelry making business run by an Astoria mom; Framiati, an online business that sells homemade soaps and beauty supplies that will donate part of their profits to charity; and Scoops in Cahoots, a family owned ice cream business that sells small-batch, non-GMO, vegetarian friendly ice cream.

Admission to the market is free.

The Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden is located at 29-19 24th Ave in Astoria.
