A New Jersey-based bank has opened a branch on Broadway that will focus on serving local businesses.
ConnectOne opened a new bank today at 36-19 Broadway, and offers a range of personal and commercial banking services while specializing in the needs of small and mid-size businesses in the area that tend to focus on real estate, law, professional services, education and other fields.
The bank offers a variety of checking and savings banking options as well as mobile and online banking platforms.
Frank Sorrentino, the bank’s chairman and chief executive officer, said the new branch is part of the bank’s mission to further expand its services in the New York metro area. It also follows the recent opening of a ConnectOne office on Long Island.
“Astoria is home to a thriving but underserved small and mid-size business community,” Sorrentino said in a statement. “We sensed an opportunity to fill that void with a banking office designed to assist the specific needs of these business owners.”
ConnectOne operates a total of 21 other offices in New Jersey and New York. The bank also opened an office in Melville, Long Island this May, and it operates a branch in midtown Manhattan.
