Police released photos and video of a shoplifter who punched an Astoria Rite Aid employee in the face.
Police say that the incident took place on Aug. 14 at 10:30 a.m. inside the Rite Aid at 33-01 30th Ave.
The suspect went inside the store and tried to leave with merchandise without paying, police said. When a store employee approached the suspect, the suspect punched him in the face.
The suspect dropped the merchandise and hurried out of the store. The employee was left with a swollen, painful injury on his face, police say.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man who is between 30 and 40 years old. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Is this same guy that got abused by the Rite Aid security guard?
No, the crying guy detained by the security guard looks a lot different, same Rite Aid though. I didn’t see signs of abuse by security in the video, just a lot of fake crying.
As much as this guy is a piece of garbage, that store and everyone who works there is the worst… nobody cares about the customers and there is always a line at the register while they just gab about stupid shit and the customers wait in agony and disgust
