Man Stabbed to Death in East Elmhurst; Woman Taken into Police Custody

A woman has been taken into custody after a man was found stabbed to death in East Elmhurst early this morning.

Police found the pair on the second floor of a home at 26-24 93 St. after responding to a 911 at around 1:21 a.m. They discovered the man, 43, with stab wounds to his abdomen. The woman, 35, had a bruised face.

Emergency responders rushed both of them to East Elmhurst hospital, where the man was pronounced dead.

The woman was treated for her injuries and taken into police custody. Charges are pending, and the investigation is ongoing.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

East Elmhurst man busted for a fatal collision in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the 4th of July: NYPD

A Queens grand jury indicted an East Elmhurst man in connection to a July 4th fatal collision at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Yersson Diaz, 27, of Ericsson Street just south of LaGuardia Airport, appeared at Queens Criminal Court for a summons on Tuesday and was taken into custody, according to an NYPD spokeswoman. He was booked Tuesday afternoon at the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst, where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
