Police are searching for a man who fired a gun outside of Astoria Houses on May 24.
The man shot the gun several times at around 5:50 p.m. behind 1-25 Astoria Boulevard and then walked inside the 2-10 27th Avenue housing complex, police say. No one was reported to have been injured during the incident, and no property was reported damaged.
Police describe the suspect as a black man in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie, black and red pants and white sneakers.

Crime is every where, not just in low income areas, and there some hard working people that do live there also. Its New York City and thing can happen anytime anywhere.
I just moved here. No one told me these houses are so close to wear i live!!
Next time google the location and search what is around before signing a lease or buying. Astoria Houses and such including homeless shelters nearby are permanent around here with this Mayor.
The Astoria Houses were built 60 years before de Blasio was mayor, but I guess if you’re completely ignorant about your neighborhood’s history you could blame him.
And people want more low income housing?!?!
You think crime doesn’t happen in other areas of Astoria? Most crimes occur away from from the affordable housing in Astoria.
… yes they occur away from the affordable housing because it’s the people from those affordable housing units conducting the crime.
