Astoria Flea, a market featuring international food, vintage items and handcrafted goods, will return to the neighborhood for a fifth year this weekend.
The market, which is organized by the LIC Flea & Food and Kaufman Astoria Studios, will take place on the studio’s back lot at 34-12 36th St. The Flea will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, May 19, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 20.
The market will feature returning vendors and a variety of new stands, according to organizers.
The Flea will feature longtime favorites such as Peruvian dishes by Don Ceviche; lobster rolls by Gina from Down Wast; and beef, chicken and cheese Empanada Papa. New vendors include Momo Valley, which serves authentic Nepali dumplings and San Antonio’s Wood Fired Pizzas.
The flea will once again feature a beer garden serving locally crafted brews.
The market will be open in Astoria one weekend per month through October. The dates are: June 23 and 24; July 21 and 22; Aug. 18 and 19; Sept. 15 and 16; and Oct. 6 and 7.
Attendees are invited to RSVP on Eventbrite for a chance to win $100 in “Flea Bucks,” to spend at the market.
The LIC Flea & Food, which takes place at 5-25 46th Ave., will be open one weekend per month through October also.
The dates are: June 9 and 10; July 4, 7 and 8; Aug. 4 and 5; Sept. 1 and 2; Oct. 13 and 14.

Will it still be open this weekend in the rain? Is it tented?
This thing, along with the LIC Flea is always such a dud! I guess that’s why they are not having it every weekend anymore. After 10 minutes and a beer, your done.
