Danice, an affordable women’s clothing chain, is closing its 48th Street location.
A Danice employee confirmed that the store, which is located at Plaza 48 at 34-56 48th St., will close. She said that the employees had been notified of the closure, but not of the closing date.
Danice, a family owned chain, was founded in New York City in 1934.
The store’s closure will likely coincide with the closing of bankrupt retailer Toys R Us’s location at 3540 48th St. at Plaza 48. Toys R Us is expected to close the location in the next few months, a toy store employee said today.

I sad store close. It got nice clothes and shoes for cheap dollar. Maybe big sale soon. Nos vemos!
A Wholefoods, Fairway or Shoprite Supermarket would be great. Target in this spot instead of Ditmar’s is a great idea! Ample parking!

Great location for a Trader Joe’s
Toys R Us has been there since I was born. I think it would be a good location for Kmart or JCPenney.

I love this place. So sad to see it go. We still have Fallas on Steinway though. Mis chicas y yo love it!
They should of opened a Target at the above location not on Ditmars!! I’m tired of the mess in the Ditmars area. I cant wait to move out.
