Police Arrest Man Wanted for Shooting Bystander After Missing His Target

Snooze Brown (NYPD) and 41st Avenue and 10th Street (Google)

Feb. 7, 2018 By Tara Law

Police have arrested a man wanted for shooting a woman in the stomach after missing his intended target in Queensbridge last month.

Snooze Brown, 22, of Middleton, N.Y., was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts each of attempted murder, second degree assault, first degree reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a firearm.

Brown was arguing with a 19-year-old woman at 41st Avenue and 10th Street at 6:56 a.m. when he took out a gun and shot at her, police say.

The bullet missed and struck a 28-year-old woman, who was walking out of the 21st Street-Queensbridge train station. She was taken to Cornell Hospital in serious condition but was later released.

90% of the crimes reported here are within 2 blocks of a NYCHA project (Queensbridge, Astoria Houses, or Ravenswood). Can’t wait until De Blasio finished letting out half the Rikers population, closes Rikers entirely and starts opening multiple neighborhood prisons, next to all the newly converted hotels to homeless shelters. NYC is going the way of Detroit and Chicago.
