Astoria: Man Sneaks Up Behind Woman and Puts Hand Up Her Skirt, Police Say

Police released video today of a man they are looking for who allegedly put his hand up a woman’s skirt outside an Astoria apartment on Dec. 18.

The man approached the 31-year-old victim from behind, put his hand up her skirt and touched her private parts near Ditmars Boulevard and 38 Street at around 11:05 p.m., police said.

When the woman confronted him, he took off west on Ditmars Boulevard.

The man is described as Hispanic, about 5 foot 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. He had brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a t-shirt, dark colored jeans, black sneakers and carrying a blue coat.
