NYPD: Man Steals Cash from Employee’s Wallet at Astoria Pharmacy

The police are looking for a man who allegedly pickpocketed a worker at an Astoria drug store on Wednesday.

The suspect allegedly went into American Specialty Pharmacy, located at 26-20 Hoyt Ave., at about 4:30 p.m. and asked the worker for assistance. The employee came out from behind the counter to help.

While the suspect talked to the employee, he allegedly removed the worker’s wallet, took out the cash and then put the wallet back in the victim’s pocket before fleeing the store.

The individual is described as a black male who is approximately 5’7”, 150 pounds who was last seen all camouflage.

I don’t believe it is possible for someone to take you wallet out of your pocket, take the cash out, and put it back in your pocket without you noticing! I smell fish.
