Police Looking for Men Connected with Burglary at iLoveKickboxing on Steinway Street

The police announced yesterday that they are looking to question three men in connection with a burglary that took place at an Astoria kickboxing gym last month.

The men are wanted following a Nov. 1 theft of cash and clothing from iLoveKickboxing at 32-43 Steinway St.

The police said that management discovered the items were missing after an employee turned up for work at 8:30 a.m. and discovered that someone had used force to get in through the rear door.

The police said that the three men wanted for questioning were near the location at about 4:15 a.m. on the day of the burglary.

The three men are described as Hispanic in their 20s.

The first was seen wearing a green vest, long sleeve shirt, torn gray pants and dark shoes.

The second was wearing a red vest, tan pants and black sneakers.

The third was last seen wearing a green jacket, black pants and black shoes.

Queens elected officials secure $70 million from New York State Budget for school safety equipment in religious and independent schools

Religious and independent schools throughout the city will soon receive additional funding for school safety equipment, thanks to Assemblymember Andrew Hevesi and State Senator Michael Gianaris, who, after extensive advocacy efforts, successfully secured $70 million from the New York State Budget for 2024-25 for Non-Public School Safety Equipment (NPSE) grants.
