The police are searching for a driver who struck down a pedestrian on an Astoria sidewalk and then fled from the scene.
The police said the suspect was driving west on 30th Avenue in a white sedan at around 4am Saturday when he careened onto the sidewalk and struck a 21-year-old man at 45th Street.
Video footage released by the police showed the victim’s body flipping over the car as the driver speeds off along the sidewalk.
The victim suffered a broken leg and concussion in the hit and run.
