Chicken Shack to open second Astoria restaurant, this one on Broadway

May 20, 2014 By Michael Florio

A popular Astoria eatery, Chicken Shack, is opening a second location– this one at 36-19 Broadway.

The new restaurant, which is expected to open in about a month, will be just blocks away from its current eatery, which is located at 35-02 30th Ave.

The two stores will offer the same menu, with an employee expressly saying: “everything will be the same.”

The menu will consist of charcoal broiled chicken, char-grilled burgers and sandwiches and baby back ribs. It will also offer seafood and Greek specialties, such as spinach pie, chicken souvlaki and lamb gyro.

The eatery is very popular with Astoria residents, based on Yelp reviews. The restaurant is known for providing large portions of food at a reasonable price.
