Four-story residential building proposed two blocks away from Astoria Park

Plans for a four-story residential building close to Astoria Park have been filed, building records show.

The current two-story building at 26-26 18th Street has not had demolition paperwork filed for it, but the proposed building for the site will rise 40 feet and house seven apartments in a 4,981 square-foot area, records filed on Aug. 9 show.

The proposal also comes with plans for a front and rear yard.

The project is being developed by Frank Petruso Architect, P.C., a commercial and residential architectural firm based in Great Neck.

The owner could not be reached for comment.

It’s all about pricing. If he plans to remodel it a la Californian style apartments, let’s just pray that it won’t hit over 1500 a month. That’d be nuts..
