Two men break into a van on Northern Blvd, take $5,000 worth of property, police say

Two men broke into a parked van on Northern Boulevard earlier this month and stole more than $5,000 in property, according to police.

The men climbed into the rear of the van that was located near Northern Boulevard and 46th Street on Wednesday, April 5, and took items such as a gas generator and power tools. The theft took place around 2pm.

Suspect

The suspects put the stolen items in a maroon Nissan and then drove off northbound on 47th Street toward Broadway, police said.

The first suspect is described as black last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, dark hooded jacket and dark pants.

The second man is described as black, heavy set, and last seen wearing a tan cap, blue hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans.

Burglary crew sought for targeting drugstores in five different Queens precincts: NYPD

Police from five Queens precincts are looking for a pair of burglars who targeted independent mom-and-pop drugstores from Fresh Meadows to Astoria throughout December.

The two men allegedly broke into three drugstores in three different neighborhoods in a half-hour during the morning of Sunday, Dec. 15. While one stood guard outside a drugstore at 63-09 39th Avenue in Woodside, his partner broke through the glass front door at 5:50 a.m. Police from the 108th Precinct reported that he removed $400 in cash before leaving.
