Man robs Astoria bodega at gunpoint, police say

The police are trying to locate a man who allegedly robbed an Astoria bodega at gunpoint last month.

The suspect allegedly entered AB News and Grocery, located at 23-14 Broadway, at around 2:20 pm on Monday, Nov. 28, displayed a handgun and demanded the 64-year-old employee to hand over money.

The employee complied and gave the individual approximately $450 from the cash register. The individual fled the store on foot westbound on Broadway.

The individual is described as a male, 6’2″, 180lbs; last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black coat, blue sweatpants and he carried a black shoulder bag.
