Astoria Gastropub Offers Beer Tasting Road Trip

April 18, 2014 By Michael Florio

All aboard the Brew Bus!

Snowdonia Gastropub, located at 34-55 32nd St, is now selling tickets for its May 10 tour, named The Brew Bus.

Tickets, which are being sold at Snowdonia and on its website, cost $65. The organizers are offering brunch and two draft beers at Snowdonia–along with a 45-minute bus ride to Captain Lawrence Brewing Company in Elmsford, NY.

“The idea behind this is it will be like a wine tasting, except for beer,” said Matthew Callahan, Director of Marketing with Snowdonia.

Captain Lawrence’s beer is popular with customers of Snowdonia and that is why Callahan picked it for the inaugural tour. The short distance also played a factor. “It has a road trip feel, without being too far away,” Callahan said.

The brewery will offer attendees access to the tasting room, where there will be 17 craft beers to sample.

Snowdonia plans to organize brewery tours on a monthly or quarterly basis.
