Two Muslim teens were assaulted in a possible hate crime outside of an Astoria bar on Saturday night, according to police.

The teenagers were sitting on a bench outside Jarfi’s restaurant and bar at 27-35 21st St. around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday when three white men approached them. When the men walked up to them, they allegedly said, “We don’t want any Muslim f-ckers sitting on our bench.”

One of teens was hit across the face with a bottle in the ensuing altercation, and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment.

According to police, the 17-year-old suffered swelling and bruising around one of his eyes from the assault.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Hate Crime Investigation Unit.

The attack comes just days after a Muslim Uber driver filmed a racist rant screamed at him from a nearby car in Astoria.
