Two-story house to become 10-unit building

Nov. 21, 2016 By Hannah Wulkan

A new apartment building is slated to replace another small two-story house in Astoria.

A developer filed plans last week to build a five-story, 10-unit building at 14-11 31st Avenue, where a small two-story, three-unit house currently stands.

The developer purchased the property in July for $1.85 million, and according to the filed plans, will build 50-foot high building with 7,310 square feet in place of the current building.

The plans show that the building will have three parking spaces, and will have an outdoor patio on the roof for residents of the building. Each floor will have two units, and the first floor will have a residential lobby.
