Popular Astoria Bagel Shop Temporarily Closed by the Health

June 7, 2018 By Christian Murray

A popular bagel shop in Astoria has been temporarily shut down by the Health Dept.

Lot’s O Bagels, located at 30-05 Broadway, was closed by the health department yesterday after an inspector determined the location had “a vermin infestation,” a spokesperson for the department said.

The eatery was closed, according to the department, since the operator was unable to correct the problem during the inspection.

The owner will have to request a re-inspection to reopen once the violations have been addressed.

A call to the store was unanswered.

LIC Concerned

So LOT’S of those little black rice sized specks that I found in my plain cream cheese bagel were. Crunchy.

Popular? I never see anyone in there. All of the bagel fanatics are lined up outside of Brooklyn Bagel like there is a bagel shortage. I go to Toast and Roast (formerly Bagel Nosh)

Thanks for posting that site. Even with an A there are violations to keep me away. I urge people to click on the restaurants they visit and see what the inspection lists (even the ones with a good grade).
