Car Bursts Into Flames Near Astoria Park Sunday, Cause Remains a Mystery

A parked car burst into flames by Astoria Park on Sunday, according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out in a silver Mercedes around 1:06 p.m. at 22-63 19 St.

The fire was extinguished with one engine and one truck, according to an FDNY spokesperson.

The cause has not yet been determined.

I didn’t know my recipe for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores needed a lit car.

I was standing right across the street when the car exploded it was a bomb and then the whole undercarriage went on fire, call 911 immediately
