Even when you report things to the police nothing really happening, the law here is sacks, the judge let them go and then your are in danger because you report it. The best thing here is to carry guns and protect yourself, if the judges do their job it wouldn’t be so much crime but they don’t do nothing. I lived in a country called Germany where for a small thing you’ve get arrested and big punishment that why there was not so much crime and here, BS with the law and everything else.

For everybody’s information: The IS10 school in Astoria has a handball court and basketball court that kids ages 17-25 hang out. These kids are all drug addicts and dealers, they rob everybody and they also hang out at the deli by the supermarket around the corner from the school. Some go by the names of Yehya, Eddie, Chris Fehn, and Jessie. I have encountered them before until I was unfortunately I was a victim of these scumbags. This kid in the video is associated with them and I was present when he tried to sell this bike to Eddie. Please clean these people out of the area, they come from 49st by the dirty Bryant projects.

you don’t have to put your real name on anything it could be anonymous — so whatever you typed on here take it to 114 Pct. — alot of people do it — give the cops more information so they can get these people instead of hiding behind this post –

This obviously would not have happened if there was a bike lane on 46th street. Get on it Constantinides!

enough with the bike lanes – whether you had a bike lane or not something like this would have happened which is not right — why at 92 years old wasn’t someone with this
elderly woman does she not have any family that would have walked with her? I know I use to go everywhere with my grandparent’s –

It is called independence and one of the reasons elderly people like living in Astoria – walk to the food stores, drug stores and shopping in general – get to see your neighbors and interact with the community a bit.
A 93 year old neighbor of mine recently passed away – took walks around the neighborhood every morning and did a bit of shopping along the way. When he suddenly passed away, the whole neighborhood was shocked. His interactions with the community was part of what kept him sharp and kept him going to that age.

I’m sure that your grandparents loved having you around but they probably also loved not having you around (please read this in the nice way that it was intended).

Probably around 46th and Ditmars, I had a bike stolen from here along with the fence it was locked to, the wine store right there was robbed at gunpoint, beautiful neighborhood clearly being targeted

According to the Daily News, “The alleged robber rode up behind the 92-year-old victim as she walked on 46th St. near 30th Avenue in Astoria about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday…”. Just google it. It was all over the tv news and newspapers.

A Manhattan man was arrested on Saturday and charged in the fatal stabbing of an East Elmhurst man during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day in what notably became the city’s first homicide of 2024.

After surge of traffic violence, Queens leaders demand safer streets especially for children

Following a tragic week on Queens streets where three pedestrians — 43-year-old Natalia Garcia-Valencia, 58-year-old Elisa Bellere and 8-year-old Bayrron Palomino Arroyo — were fatally struck by unsafe drivers, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards announced that he has allocated $1.5 million in capital funding for street safety improvements on three of the borough’s most dangerous roadways.

Richards made the announcement at 82nd Street and Astoria Boulevard in East Elmhurst on Monday morning, about a mile from where the 8-year-old boy was struck and killed by an impatient pickup truck driver from Flushing on Mar. 13 as he walked in the crosswalk at 31st Avenue and 101st Street with him mother and brother, who was injured.
